Stampin' Up! Greatest Adventure ~ Sketch Saturday

Hello & Welcome! Today's card was created for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #758.  This is the first day of the challenge and you have two weeks to play along. The optional twist for this card challenge is to use sequins somewhere on your card.  (I skipped the optional part this time)

I took the liberty of turning the sketch sideways to make my card because I wanted to use my new(ish) train stamp from Stampin' Up!'s Greatest Adventure as my image. I stamped the train with Basic Gray instead of black.  Aren't the details on this one amazing!?  I love that you can get so much with just one stamp.

The sentiment was stamped on a scrap of Basic Gray Cardstock with Versamark, then heat embossed with black embossing powder.  I tied a double bow with Night of Navy Linen Thread*, attached it to the back of the sentiment, then used Dimensionals to attach the sentiment to the card.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!  I hope you are able to play along with this month's sketch.  Don't forget to visit the main post at Sketch Saturday to find even more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team.

Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Playing in the Rain ~ Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Hey Stampers!  Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop.  I'm excited to be part of this fun & creative group sharing stamping inspiration with you today!

Our inspiration this month came from the photo below.  This photo inspiration made me wish for the Market Goodness Bundle from Stampin' Up! Since I don't have any part of that bundle, I used the colors as my inspiration.

The greens made me think of the turtle from Playing in the Rain, so I grabbed him first.  Using Granny Apple Green and Pecan Pie Blends, I quickly colored the turtle. I didn't really have a plan at this point, other than wanting a pretty clean and simple card.

Once I got the turtle colored, I decided to fussy cut closely around him, cutting off the flower he normally holds. Using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, I went around the cut edges to darken them.

Then, I used the balloon dies from Fluffiest Friends Dies to cut a few balloons from 6x6 Designer Series Paper in Blueberry Bushel, Peach Pie and Garden Green.  Using Liquid Glue, I attached the balloons to each other.  To attach the Gray Granite Twine, I placed a small dot of Liquid glue behind the balloons and another behind the turtle's hand.

Before attaching the balloons & turtle to the card, I stamped the sentiment with Blueberry Bushel ink on the white panel.  Then, used Liquid Glue to attach the white panel to the Blueberry Bushel panel then the card front.  Once all of that was done, I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the turtle and balloons.

For the inside of the card I drew a couple of balloon strings with the Gray Granite Stampin' Write Marker.  Then, used Liquid Glue to adhere a couple of the leftover balloons.
