I'm finding that Glorious Gingham 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper is ideal to use with Stampin' Up!® Sending Smiles stamps and their coordinating Sending Dies. 

In fact, it's so great that I'm using it on every card in my Sending Smiles Class to Go this week!  (This fun fold card is the second card you will learn how to create in my class)

Stampin' Up! Sending Smiles ~ Masculine Birthday Card

 

Even though Sending Smiles is a floral set, you can still use it, and the coordinating dies, to make quick masculine cards!  I love this one, with it's simple layout and bright colors.

Having the right adhesive for the job makes paper crafting so much easier and more enjoyable!  For this card, I've used Mini Stampin' Dimensionals behind the sentiment piece, Mini Glue Dots to attach the ribbon, Liquid Glue for the DSP, Blueberry Bushel Cardstock and Basic Black 'Sending' Die Cut.  But that's not all!  The Lemon Lime Twist 'Sending' piece was die cut with a piece of an Adhesive Sheet already placed on the back of the cardstock.  AND, the Basic White Cardstock was attached with Dimensionals!  It sounds like a lot, and yes, I could have cut down on some of these adhesives.  However, it really makes it easier, quicker and faster to have the perfect adhesive for each job.

Stampin' Up! Sending Smiles ~ Love & Big Hugs

 

EEEK! I got to use my Brushed Brass Butterflies on this card featuring Stampin' Up!® Sending Smiles stamps.  There are just some things I get silly excited about using, can you relate!? 

Berry Burst is a fun burst of color on this very simple and neutral card.  Sometimes less really is more.  If you are looking for a fairly quick card to make after working all day, this could be the one!  I recommend dabbing Liquid Glue on the tip of the stem, then adding the flower.  Once that's done, use a few Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the flowers & stems to your card. 

Oh!  and the DSP is only 2" x 3", so you can get a LOT out of one 12" x 12" sheet!

Stampin' Up! Sending Smiles - Comfort & Strength

 

This week I will be sharing cards I created with Sending Smiles Stamps by ©Stampin' Up!®

This stamp set is so versatile, you can create cards for anyone and any occasion, just by switching out the words in the banner and choosing colors with your recipient in mind. 

I had so much fun with the details on this card!  I got to use my Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder on the background.  To make the stamped sentiment bold, I Heat Embossed it with Black Embossing Powder. After wrapping Linen Thread around the background three times, I tied a triple bow around it, making it a bit more substantial.

Stampin' Up! Happy Labels - Sketch Saturday

 

I created today's card for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #728. Today (June 17th, 2023) is the first day of this challenge, you have two weeks to play along.  There's an optional challenge of using only 3 colors plus black and white.  I forgot about that optional challenge again, so used lots of colors!  If you play along, we would love to see what you create, so please share over on the Sketch Saturday Blog.

This is a great sketch with SO MANY wonderful possibilities.  I needed a fairly quick card this time, since yes, I did wait until almost the last minute. So, the main focus of my card is this gorgeous paper from Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper. 

The frame for my card was created by first using my Scalloped Contour Die to cut a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock.  Then, I used my Paper Snips to cut along the dots, cutting out the inside of the piece.

Stampin' Up! Happy Labels ~ Casually Crafting Blog Hop

 Hey there!  Thanks for stopping by!  Today I'm taking part in a blog hop with the Casually Crafting Design Team!  We are an international group of Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who want to share our take on casual crafting.  We will share what we love with you monthly.  Be sure to check out the rests of the design team's projects using the links at the bottom of this post.

For our challenge this month we were to make a card using this awesome sketch.  My first thought when I saw the sketch was flowers, but then I thought that somebody might do that.  My next thought was MONKEYS!  How fortunate that my Little Monkey stamp set (by Stampin' Up!) includes three monkeys.

While there is a punch to cut out one of the monkeys and the banana, I decided to fussy cut everything.  It's funny, I used to avoid fussy cutting at all costs, but now I find myself fussy cutting several times a week.  Turns out it's strangely addicting!

I didn't plan on adding the bananas and the dots, but I got a smidge of ink on my Basic White Cardstock.  To cover it up I wanted to add yellow dots, but felt like I needed yellow somewhere else on the card...so, Bananas!  (The yellow dots are actually vanilla Classic Matte Dots colored yellow with a Stampin' Blend)

Stampin' Up! Happy Labels ~ YAY!

 

Combine Stampin' Up!'s Happy Labels stamp set with their Playing in the Rain stamp set and you get some pretty adorable (& HAPPY) congratulations cards!  I just love the sweet colors, Bubble Bath & Boho Blue, used on this card.

There is a coordinating die set that you can get for the Playing in the Rain stamp set.  I really wanted my bunny to standout on this card, so instead of using my die, I fussy cut him pretty close.  Then, I used the brush tip of my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to darken the edges all the way around the bunny.

I love this sentiment, also from Happy Labels, for a congratulations card for new parents.  Isn't it the sweetest!?  There's not much in life that's more exciting than finding out you have a new baby on the way.

Stampin' Up! Happy Labels with Petal Park - Love You

 

Love you & miss you.  

I love sentiment stamps like this one, they make me think of people I need to connect with.  Sometimes (okay, often) I let life get so busy that I need a helpful nudge (or shove) to remind me to reach out to people I love...and miss. 

Lots of little elements to this card that don't really go together, but Stampin' Up! is SO GREAT at creating colors and products that coordinate...even if they aren't technically part of the same suite or bundle. It makes it simple to mix and match for fun & unique cards.

Hope you are able to reach out to a loved one you might be missing.

Stampin' Up! Happy Labels ~ Just a Note

 

Happy Labels, my Stamp Set of the Week, is a very versatile sentiment only set.  It's fun to pair a stamp set like this one with a variety of other products.  For instance, here I have paired it with leaves die cut with Aspen Trees Dies. 

I used a tiny paintbrush with a dab of Liquid Glue and water to 'paint' adhesive in the veins of the leaves on the large leaf.  Once it mostly dried, so that the glue was clear, I used a stiff (cheap) paintbrush to add Gilded Leafing to the leaf.  After pressing it in with the paintbrush, I used the same paintbrush to brush off the excess.
