If you have been following along on my blog this week, you might have noticed that I used the 'splattering' technique on my first card this week with Sunny Splash stamps on Monday. I love this so simple technique and think it's just perfect with this stamp set!
Before 'splattering' my ink on my cardstock this time I used a Blending Brush to add a soft Coastal Cabana background for the swimsuit. I also got a little carried away and added a drop of Coastal Cabana Ink Refill to three Basic Rhinestones before removing them from the backing. I did this next to my sink, and left them there for several hours. Before removing them from the backing, I gently wiped off the excess ink with a paper towel. It left just a subtle touch of color on each of the rhinestones.
Do you know if there's a better term than 'splattering' for this technique? If so, share it in the comments!
Watch my YouTube Video Tutorial Thursday afternoon if you don't yet know how to 'splatter' your ink!
Sunny Splash stamps are retiring at the end of this catalog, or while supplies last. If you love them, get them before they are gone!
Thanks for visiting my blog today.
Happy Stamping!
