Hello and welcome to my blog! I'm excited to be joining the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop today. I love being a part of these fun Blog Hops with other stampers sharing what we love and create! Links to all the other blog posts for this hop are near the end of this post! - be sure to check them out! Hopefully you will be as inspired as I always am seeing what everyone else creates for this month's challenge.
This month's creative theme for this blog hop is Sounds of the Season ~ the sounds of the season that warm your heart. Favorite tunes or carols that make you smile at this time of year.
There are SO many to choose from! It was hard to narrow down, so I created two cards for this one. The first card is maybe a bit of a stretch to making it match the tune and it's one maybe not everyone knows.
My family, for years and years and years, has watched "White Christmas" at some point in the holiday season. Some years, we have even gone to the movie theater to see it on the big screen (beautiful!). One of our favorite scenes in this movie is when they sing "Sisters, Sisters" First, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen sing and dance to it, then Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye dance to it. Such fun! (I've linked to the scenes so you can watch on YouTube if you aren't familiar with it)
MEASUREMENTS
Card Base ~ Thick Basic White Cardstock ~ 6-1/4" x 6-1/2", scored at 3-1/4"
Layer 1 ~ Tahitian Tide Cardstock ~ 3" x 6"
Layer 2 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 2-3/4" x 5-3/4"
Scraps of Basic White for the mice
Scraps of Basic Black for the lala's and the music notes
This next card is easy to make and easy to guess! It's, of course, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I will be surprised if other crafters in this blog hop don't also use this one as part of their inspiration.
The Orchid Oasis sheet of Glimmer paper from the In Color Glimmer Paper makes the perfect background for Rudolph. I love the way it shimmers and looks like a snowy, starry winter night.
