Oh my goodness...I am having so much fun with these adorable mice! And, doesn't this make a fun winter Birthday Card!? or is it just me? When I saw the singing mice and music notes, my first thought was 'happy birthday to you' instead of Christmas carols!
Oops. I almost forgot to tell you, the inspiration for this card layout came from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 498...I found it very inspirational! I will never tire of seeing all the different ways people use a single sketch...it's really amazing. :)
Instead of using traditional embellishments on this card, I decided to heat emboss and fussy cut the music notes to then space around the card like embellishments. I hope you like the result as much as I do! Here's a tip...to attach small, dark pieces like these notes, cut the Mini Black Stampin' Dimensionals to sizes that fit and use those. ;)
The 'to you' was from Hello Beautiful stamps. I stamped (& embossed) the entire stamp that says 'so happy to know you', then simply cut around the 'to' and 'you'. The to was adhered to the sentiment piece with Liquid Glue and the 'you' was attached with a dot of Liquid Glue and a 1/4 of a Mini Black Stampin' Dimensional.
Of course, I couldn't resist repeating the strips of cardstock on the inside. These all measure 3/4" wide x 1/2" high.

Layer 1 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Layer 2 ~ strips of Granny Apple Green, Tahitian Tide, Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie ~ 3/4" x 2"
Layer 3 ~ Tahitian Tide Cardstock ~ 2-1/2" x 2-1/2"
Layer 4 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 2-1/2" x 2-1/2"
Scraps of Tahitian Tide and Basic White at approx 1-1/2" x 3" each
small scraps of Basic Black Cardstock
