Stampin' Up! Blessings of Home ~ Watercolor Card

 

If you've been following along on my blog all week, you know I love to color the images from Blessings of Home with Stampin' Blends.  They are also fun to watercolor!  Stampin' Up!'s Water Painters are perfect for easy water coloring using Stampin' Up!'s ink pads for the color.

I embossed the front of the card base with the Painted 3D Embossing Folder.  I love the subtle texture it gives this white background.  For the sentiment, I used a die from Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut it out, positioning it so that the end result is a bit shorter than the actual die.

Stampin' Up! Blessings of Home ~ Small Slimline Card

 

This card, featuring Stampin' Up!'s Blessings of Home Stamp Set, is a small slimline.  (Measurements near the end of this post.)  Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders are perfect for using with this size of card.  I love the subtle texture that the Stripes EF added to the background of this card. 

I stamped the sentiment on Mint Macaron Cardstock, then cut each line apart and attached them to the card using Liquid Glue on the left sides and a Mini Stampin' Dimensional on the right sides.  This is a great way to add only a part of a sentiment. (The full sentiment stamp says "You Are a real blessing to everyone around you)

To dress up the inside a little, I added a 1/4" strip of the same designer series paper used for the long banner on the front.

Stampin' Up! Blessings of Home

I will never tire of stamping with Stampin' Up!'s Blessings of Home stamp set!  It is such a pretty set with flowers perfect for coloring.  The coordinating Flowers of Home Dies make it so easy to cut out the flowers and add them to any background. 

I chose to use the Hive 3D Embossing Folder as the background for this card.  I finished it by adding a few In Color Opal Rounds around the flowers.

Stampin' Up! Blessings of Home ~ Card from the Catalog

 

This week's Card from the Catalog features Stampin' Up!'s Blessings of Home stamp set and can be found on p. 20 of the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.  The original card uses Stampin' Up! Daffodil Daydreams stamp set and is the card in the center of the page.  (You can view the PDF version of the catalog using the link in the sidebar.)

Blessings of Home is the stamp set I have chosen to highlight on my blog all week.  Be sure to check back for more ideas using this beautiful floral stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Kindest Gnomes ~ Sketch Saturday

 This so easy card, featuring Stampin' Up!'s Kindest Gnomes stamps and Storybook Gnomes Designer Paper, was inspired by Sketch Saturday's Challenge #710.

I'm not gonna lie...this one stumped me for a bit.  I really wanted to use my Stamp Set of the Week (Kindest Gnomes), but I wasn't sure how to work it into this sketch.  Plus, at the moment I don't have many options for ovals.  The fun Storybook Gnomes DSP saved the day!  I used my Double Oval Punch to cut out a scene from one of the sheets of DSP and used another sheet form part of the card base.  I was still able to incorporate the stamp set in by using one for the sentiment!

Stampin' Up! Kindest Gnomes with YouTube Tutorial

This week's Friday YouTube Tutorial is all about Kindest Gnomes stamp set from Stampin' Up!  I had so much fun with this card that this is my third version of it!  The possibilities with these gnomes are endless.  For each version of this card I used different colors and different backgrounds for totally different looks.  You can see each one on my video linked at the end of this post. 

 

I used the mushroom die pieces from Gnomes Dies to make her paintbrush.  I then brushed the end on my Gorgeous Grape stamp pad to make it look like she's painting her mushroom house.  Notice the door knob...that little Brushed Brass Embellishment is one of my favorite things about this card. (It's the little things that make me smile!)

Stampin' Up! Kindest Gnomes ~ Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

 

Hey Stampers & Friends!  Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop.  I'm excited to be part of this fun and creative group sharing stamping ideas with you today!

This week's Color Challenge photo is below with six colors ~ Sweet Sorbet, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Pacific Point and Night of Navy.  Our other option was to use the photo as inspiration (I forget that a lot!)  If we are feeling super crafty & creative we can also combine both the ink & inspiration parts of the challenge.  

I have admitted before that color challenges are usually more difficult for me than sketch challenges.  This time I thought I would be even more challenged because I had no idea how I was going to incorporate these colors into my Stamp Set of the Week, Kindest Gnomes.  But then, I remembered my Playful Piggy Dies!  (These dies are only available until the end of September)

The 'Relax' is from In the Moment stamps.  I stamped it on Daffodil Delight Cardstock, then heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder.  Before adhering it to my card, I fussy cut around it with my Paper Snips.  

My little card measures 6-1/4" x 3-1/4".

Stampin' Up! Kindest Gnomes Rustic Harvest

Fall is not a season that typically lasts long around here.  It typically arrives late, and then either warms back up or gets pretty cold.  Leaves seem to fall in the course of a few days to a week, pretty much right after they start to change color.  Maybe that's why I'm not typically one to purchase many fall stamps.  However, with paper as beautiful, and as autumnal, as this Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper, I don't need a lot of fall stamps!  

This was a pretty quick and for sure easy card to make.  I stamped the gnome and colored her to match the gorgeous DSP background.  Then stamped the sentiment with Versamark, heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder, and fussy cut around it.  I used Dimensionals to attach both the gnome and sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Kindest Gnomes ~ Card from the Catalog

 

This week's Card from the Catalog can be features Kindest Gnomes and can be found on p. 76 of the 2022 July-December Mini Catalog.  I almost always change at least a little bit of something when I CASE (copy & share everything) a card from the catty.  This time, as far as I'm aware, the only thing I changed was using the die (from Stitched Rectangle Dies) to cut out the sentiment.

I chose this card because I love the background.  I think adding stamping or other elements to designer series is pretty cool, but I don't often think to do it.  The more I use a technique, the more I think to use it in new projects.  So, the more cards from the catalog I CASE with this technique the more likely I am to use it in my own projects.

Stampin' Up! Painted Poppies ~ Casually Crafting Blog Hop

Hey there!  Thanks for stopping by!  Today I'm taking part in a blog hop with the Casually Crafting Design Team!  We are an international group of Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who want to share our take on casual crafting.  We will share what we love with you monthly.  Be sure to check out the rests of the design team's projects using the links at the bottom of this post.

This month we are participating in a Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  In this type of challenge we can choose at least 3 boxes in a row to incorporate in our projects.  I chose the middle row: spots, twine and a punch. 

The beautiful designer series paper that the gold spots come from is Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The twine is Crumb Cake Twine is from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack. For the punch I chose the Double Oval, but just used the larger scalloped portion of the punch. 

Somehow I've been stamping beautiful floral cards all week and haven't used my Brushed Brass Butterflies, so I pretty much HAD to add one to this card.  It's just perfect next to this sentiment from Peaceful Moments.
