This week's sketch from Sketch Saturday inspired this great background! My daughter was surprised it was one I had made instead of a piece of Designer Series Paper.
To make the background, I first used Daffodil Delight and Starry Sky Stampin' Write Markers to color parts of an E Block. Then, since for some reason I don't have a Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Marker I placed a drop of Mossy Meadow Refill ink in the remaining corners. I then used a Water Painter to spread the Mossy Meadow around a little.
Once the E Block was prepped, I lightly spritzed it and a 2-3/4" x 4-1/8" piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with water. Then I placed the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper on the E Block and left it for a few seconds to soak up the ink. Before doing anything else with this background, I set it aside to let it completely dry.
Instead of stamping the flowers, I fussy cut around the flowers on one of the pieces of Wonderful World Designer Series Paper. There's so many great options for beautiful big flowers to cut out on this DSP!
Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope you were inspired by the sketch or my card (or both!)
Happy Stamping!
