Hippest Hippos is the stamp set I am highlighting on my blog all week. Turns out, this set has SO MANY possibilities and is perfect for combining with other stamp sets like the one from Stampin' Up!'s No Matter the Weather Kit.
The clouds, rain and sentiment are all from No Matter the Weather. Stamp both clouds with Basic Gray ink multiple times without reinking to get the different shades of stormy clouds. The rain drops were stamped over and over with Balmy Blue ink, all the way across the cardstock. (I did stamp the sentiment with Night of Navy before stamping the rain)
The Hippo Dies are also a ton of fun to use with this set. Of course they make cutting around the hippos super easy, but they also have lots of little props to add to scenes with the hippos! For the waves, I used a Blending Brush to add Pacific Point to a scrap of Basic White. I created some lighter places on the cardstock and some darker places. Then, I used the wave die to cut out multiple waves and attached them to my stamped on layer of cardstock with liquid glue and mini stampin' dimensionals.
I couldn't resist adding another sentiment from the kit and another hippo inside the card. Isn't this one sweet?
