Stampin' Up! Words of Cheer small Slimline Christmas Card

 

This card was so fun to create!  I chose the colors by looking up the trending Christmas colors for 2021.  Wondering what those colors might be, or do you already know?  Well, I'm going to let you in on it either way!  Fuchsia, turquoise and navy.  So, I used Magenta Madness, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy.  I LOVE the way it turned out and this might be my new favorite color combo!  What do you think? 

MEASUREMENTS

Card Base ~ Thick Basic White Cardstock ~ 6-1/4" x 6-1/2", score at 3-1/4"

Layer 1 ~ Basic Black Cardstock ~ 3" x 6"

Layer 2 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 2-7/8" x 5-7/8"

• Use Blending Brushes to add Magenta Madness ink to approximately the top third of Layer 2, Bermuda Bay ink to the middle third, and Night of Navy ink to the bottom third
• Make sure the ink is dry ~ I used my Heat Tool to speed up the process
• Stamp the large flower image with Versamark, then heat emboss with black embossing powder
• Now stamp the sentiment with Versamark and heat emboss it with black embossing powder
• Use your favorite adhesive (mine is Liquid Glue, but Stampin' Seal would work nicely here) to attach Layers 1 & 2 to the front of the card base
• Add two Matte Black Dots above the sentiment

Do you prefer traditional Christmas colors?  I created another card, same layout but different colors, using three of our reds.  The reds I chose, from lightest to darkest, were Poppy Parade, Real Red and Cherry Cobbler.
