Stampin' Up! Words of Cheer ~ Card from the Catalog

For today's card I decided to use Stampin' Up!'s Words of Cheer Bundle.  I have had this set for a month or two now and just keep using one stamp over and over.  (It's the one circled)  This is a great bundle, with SO much potential!  I don't know why I have been stuck on the one stamp until now.

You can find this card on p. 66 of the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.  I only made one small change this time, and it's optional.  In the video (link below) I show you how to make the change and how to use the intended technique.  I did also finish out the inside, so scroll on down to see that.

MEASUREMENTS
Card Base ~ Petal Pink Cardstock ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/2"
The frame ~ Evening Evergreen Cardstock ~ (catalog version) 3-1/4" x 4-1/2"
Window Sheet ~ (catalog version) ~ 3-1/8" x 4-3/8"
'happy' outline ~ Soft Succulent Cardstock ~ 4" x 2"
'happy' ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 2"
Scraps for shaker bits ~ Poppy Parade, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Basic White

  • Use Whisper White Craft ink to stamp the largest floral stamp over the front of the card base.  Set aside to dry.
  • Cut out several stars using both stars dies and Poppy Parade cardstock
  • Use the leaves die to cut out Soft Succulent leaves.  You can snip the ends to separate them, or leave them attached.
  • Cut Evening Evergreen greenery with the other small die
  • Use the long die to cut out several small Basic White Circles.  Cut out extra so you have some for inside the card as well as the ones for the 'happy' background
  • With the background 'happy' die, cut the Soft Succulent cardstock
  • Cut the Basic White Cardstock with the main 'happy' die
  • Stamp 'holidays' with the Soft Succulent ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock
  • Glue the white happy on the background happy and attach the tiny white dots, as shown
  • Use either the Paper Trimmer or the Rectangle Stitched Dies to cut out an Evening Evergreen frame
  • Attach the frame to the Window Sheet with adhesive of your choice.  Then, use Foam Adhesive Strips to attach the frame to the front of the card.  (Don't forget to fill the inside of the frame with sequins and the small die cut pieces first.  I did this by piling the little bits up in the middle of the card front, then putting the frame on top.)
  • Use Liquid Glue to attach 'happy' to the frame.  Then add 'holidays', also with liquid glue, on the 'happy', as shown

For the inside of the card, stamp another sentiment at the top with the Soft Succulent ink.  Then, use the Whisper White craft ink to stamp the flowers in the lower corner.  Be sure to leave the card open until the craft ink dries.  In a hurry?  Use a Heat Tool to dry the ink quicker.

Thanks for visiting my blog!  I hope you are inspired to create something wonderful!

Happy Stamping!
