Did you see my Facebook Live Thursday? In it I demonstrated how to make a card with this layout. For the card in the FB Live I used Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper from Sale-a-bration. Since Sale-a-bration is over now, I decided to recreate the card with this stunning Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love the touches of silver in the paper, so I embossed the sentiment with Silver Embossing Powder.
MEASUREMENTS
Mossy Meadow Card Base ~ 6" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Mossy Meadow Cardstock Layer 1 ~ 3-1/2" x 4-3-4"
Mossy Meadow Cardstock Layer 2 ~ 2-1/2" x 3-3/4"
Blushing Bride Cardstock ~ scrap
Basic White Cardstock (inside) ~ 3-3/4" x 5"
- Use the 2nd largest Scalloped Contours Die to cut out layer 1.
- Emboss layer 2 with Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
- Use your favorite adhesive (mine is Liquid Glue) to attach the DSP to the small front flap of the card base. Remember to ONLY apply adhesive to the part of the DSP that will be attached to the flap.
- Adhere Layer to the center of the DSP.
- Tie a bow around layer 2. Then, use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach layer 2 to layer 1.
- Stamp 'Joy' with Versamark. Cover with Silver Embossing Powder and tap off the excess. Set the powder with the Heat Tool.
- Fussy cut around 'Joy' with Paper Snips. Then, use a Stampin' Dimensional to attach 'Joy' to the card front.
Use the coordinating Christmas Trees Dies to cut out one of the holly pieces from the Whimsy & Wonder SDSP. Adhere the Basic White CS to the inside of the card. Then, glue the holly piece to the corner of the white cardstock. Remember to make sure the inside layers will be hidden by the front of the card before gluing them down.
I love that with this layout you can see the back side of the Designer Series Paper when you open the card! I hope you like it too. Here's the link to my FB Live, if you would like to see another card with this layout made.
Happy Stamping!
