Stampin' Up! Nothing's Better Than

Did you catch my YouTube video yesterday where I showed you how to create this fun card?  (If not, that's okay.  If you would like to watch, there's a link at the end of this post.)

This week I am loving creating with Stampin' Up!'s Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.  I only used the Gold on this card.  Monday I used the Rose Gold on a card.  I plan on using it all week so you can get ideas of how to use it.  Since I'm loving it so much, I have decided to make it my Product of the Week.  If you place an order with me using Host Code XT6KHPRZ (by October 17th), I will include a sample of each of these Specialty Papers in my thank you card to you!

MEASUREMENTS
Card Base ~ Early Espresso Cardstock ~ 11" x 4-1/4", score at 5-1/2"
Layer 1 ~ Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper ~ 3" x 4-1/4"
Layer 2 ~ Gold Metallic Specialty Paper ~ 3" x 1-1/4"
Layer 3 ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 3" x 4"
Inside Layer ~ Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Scraps of Early Espresso, Gold Metallic Specialty Paper and Basic White Cardstock

  • Stamp 'A Day Without' and 'Is Like, Ummm...' using Cherry Cobbler ink.  I used my Stamparatus to get the stamps lined up perfectly.  Then, I only inked up the portion of the stamps that I was using.  Don't have a Stamparatus?  Use a Post-It Note to mask off the part of the stamp you aren't stamping.  (Pull off the post-it after inking, before stamping on your project)
  • Stamp the chocolates twice using Cinnamon Cider ink on Basic White Cardstock scraps.
  • Use Early Espresso ink to stamp the outline over the chocolates.
  • Stamp 'Just Kidding, I have no idea' on the inside layer, using Cherry Cobbler ink.  Again, ink just the part of the stamp you are using
  • Use the 'Chocolate' word die from Love You More Than Dies to cut out an Early Espresso word and again to cut out a Gold Metallic word.
  • Use the chocolate die to cut out the stamped chocolates (*2).  Then, use the same die to cut out one Gold Metallic outline
  • Use the largest scalloped circle from Layering Circles Dies to cut out the corner of one of the chocolates so it looks like someone took a bite from it.
  • Cut part of a Gold Metallic circle for Layer 2 with the 3rd largest circle from Layering Circles Dies
  • Adhere Layer 1 to the card base with your favorite adhesive.
  • Place Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of Layer 3.  Before placing it on your card, add the Gold partial circle to the back of it, where you want it placed on your card.  Apply Liquid Glue to the back of the partial circle, then attach both pieces to your card front.
  • Use a Sponge Dauber to add Liquid Glue to the back of the Gold word 'chocolate' and place it on your card.
  • Repeat with the Gold word 'chocolate', layering it so that the gold peeks out from behind, as shown.
  • Use Liquid Glue to attach the stamped chocolate to the Gold chocolate, then attach to the bottom corner of Layer 3

Go ahead and adhere the stamped on inside layer to the inside of the card.  Then, add that die cut bit of chocolate that looks like someone took a bite out of.

I hope you enjoyed this card!
