Stampin' Up! Whimsy & Wonder - SEVEN Cards + 1 Layout

Yesterday I realized that even though Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper is one of my favorite DSP sets from the new Mini Catalog, I haven't been using it much.  I decided to remedy that issue in one afternoon by using every pattern in the Whimsy & Wonder SDSP to make a card.  In fact, I even used both sides of each piece.  I ended up with SEVEN fantastic cards, and I did use some of the patterns multiple times.

I chose to use the same basic layout for each card.  Most of them were vertical cards, but a couple I decided to make horizontal.  Either way you go, here are the measurements -

Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
Basic White CS ~ 4" x 5-1/4", scraps for sentiments
Designer Series Paper ~ 1/2" x 5-1/4" and 3-1/2" x 5-1/4"

  • Glue the DSP to the 4" piece of Basic White CS, aligning the edges.
  • Wrap the twine around twice, covering the seem where the DSP meets.  Then, tie a bow.
  • Attach the DSP layer to the Card Front with Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Stamp your sentiment on a scrap of Basic White CS.  Punch it out, then attach to the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

For this🠝 card I used a Dark Misty Moonlight Blend to color white twine before attaching it to the card.

This🠝 White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon was colored with a Dark Mint Macaron Blend to make it match the DSP.

This🠝 sentiment was just cut out with Paper Snips, instead of using a punch.

I hope you are inspired to pull out your DSP and create some quick cards!
