Stampin' Up! Peaceful Deer - Card from the Catalog

 

This card was inspired by the box on p. 2 of the Sale-a-bration Brochure.  It's usually pretty simple to go from a box or tag design to a card.  Sometimes you can take a card design and make a box or tag, too!  Stampin' Up! does sell a Deer Builder Punch to Coordinate with the Peaceful Deer stamps, but I did not use it on this card.  Instead, I fussy cut around one of the deer from the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper, which is a Sale-a-bration item.  

MEASUREMENTS

Real Red Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"

Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper ~ 4" x 5-1/4", 7/8" x 2-5/16", deer

Crumb Cake Cardstock ~ 2-1/2" 4-1/2" 

Old Olive Cardstock ~ scrap

• Use the Stockings Dies to cut the 'tag' out of Crumb Cake CS
• Stamp the trees, using Sahara Sand ink, across the 'tag', about an inch from the bottom
• Glue the strip of Peaceful Prints DSP across the 'tag', approximately 1/4" from the bottom
• Adhere the 'tag' to 4" piece of Peaceful Prints DSP with your favorite adhesive. 
• Place a Glue Dot on each end of a 4-3/4" piece of ribbon.  Wrap it around the DSP and attach the ends behind it. 
• Tie a bow around the ribbon with another piece of ribbon.  Secure the bow to the 'tag' with another Glue Dot
• Attach the DSP to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals
• Stamp 'Merry Christmas' with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the scrap of Old Olive CS.  Then, cut around it with Paper Snips, or other sharp scissors
• Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the Deer to the front of your card. 
• Place two Mini Stampin' Dimensionals behind 'Merry' and a bit of liquid glue behind Christmas.  Then, place 'Merry Christmas' on the front of your card, as shown. 
• Optional: add a 4" x 5-/14" piece of Basic White Cardstock to the inside of your card
