Hello! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I used Stampin' Up!'s Sweets & Treats stamp set to make today's card. When I first saw this set in the catalog I thought it would be great for holiday cards and especially tags when we give away yummy treats close to Christmas. But then I realized how perfect it could be for Birthday Cards, too!
MEASUREMENTS
Flirty Flamingo Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4" (*2)
Vellum Cardstock ~ 2-1/2" x 2-3/4"
Scraps of Flirty Flamingo and Mint Macaron
- Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the cake stand and cupcake on the Basic White CS. (Using the Stamparatus helps to line this up perfectly)
- With the Tuxedo Black Memento ink, stamp the heart on a scrap of Flirty Flamingo CS and 'happy birthday' on a scrap of Mint Macaron.
- Use Stampin' Blends to color the cupcake and cake stand.
- Use Versamark to stamp the cover on a piece of Vellum Cardstock. Cover the stamped image with Clear Embossing Powder, then set with the Heat Tool.
- Use Paper Snips to Fussy Cut around the heart, sentiment, and cake cover
- Apply a small amount of Liquid Glue to the back of the Vellum cake cover...try to add the glue along the embossed line, mostly behind where you will put the heart and sentiment.
- Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the heart and sentiment
For the inside, I added another piece of Basic White CS. I stamped the heart and 'love ya' with the Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The heart was then colored in with Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends.
