Hi! It's Friday! YAY! Fridays around here are for Cards From the Catalog - blog post AND YouTube Video! Today's card is actually from the Sale-a-bration brochure, not the catalog, but that's okay, right!? You can find the original card on p. 13 of the August - September Sale-a-bration brochure. I made a couple of small changes to this one, but nothing major. (The link to the video is at the bottom of this post)
MEASUREMENTS
Poppy Parade Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 3-3/4" x 5-1/4", 3-1/2" x 5" and 4" x 5-1/4"
Petal Pink Cardstock ~ 3/4" x 3"
Smoky Slate Cardstock ~ 2" x 3-1/4"
- Stamp off lightly on other paper before stamping the largest flower stamp, using Daffodil Delight ink, in the center of the 3-1/2" piece of Basic White CS.
- Ink the smaller flower stamp with Petal Pink, lightly stamp off, then stamp on the bottom corner of the 3-1/2" piece of Basic White CS. Repeat this with the Real Red ink in the opposite corner.
- Stamp the smallest stamp with Petal Pink, Smoky Slate and Misty Moonlight, always stamping off before stamping on your 3-1/2" piece of Basic White
- Use the Misty Moonlight to stamp the sentiment on Petal Pink CS
- Place the 3-3/4" piece of Basic White CS in the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine
- Cut the stamped flower piece of Basic White with a Stitched Rectangle Die (the one measuring approximately 2-5/8" x 4"
- Use the leaf dies from Summer Shadows to cut out two Smoky Slate leaves. Then, stamp the smallest stamp (using Smoky Slate ink) on each of the solid leaves. Glue the intricate leaves over the solid, stamped leaves.
- Use the Punch to punch both sides of the sentiment
- It's time to assemble your card! Start by gluing the embossed piece first, then the stamped piece.
- Use your favorite adhesive to glue 8-1/4" of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon to the card front.
- Attach the sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals and the leaves with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals
- Add a little bling, as shown.
For the inside of the card, I stamped the smaller flowers using Misty Moonlight on Basic White CS. I did stamp off once before stamping on the Basic White CS. Glue to the inside of the card.
