Stampin' Up! Shaded Summer & SAB Summer Shadows Dies!

 

hello.  Sometimes that's all you need to say on a card.  As I was looking through my card stash yesterday, I realized I don't have many of this type of card left!  Thankfully, I recently got the Shaded Summer stamps which have some fabulous sentiments, including this 'hello'!  Actually, the hello in this set says 'hello YOU', but I just wanted to use the 'hello' on this card.  Read on to learn how...

MEASUREMENTS

Pale Papaya Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"

Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4" (*2), 2-3/4" x 3-3/4"

2021-2023 In Color Designer Series Paper ~ 3-5/8" x 3-7/8"

Pale Papaya Cardstock ~ 2" x 1-1/2"

Evening Evergreen Cardstock ~ 2" x 1-3/4"

• Begin by coloring the actual stamp using Stampin' Write Markers (NOT Blends!)  Start with the lightest color first, then move to the darker color.
• When you are ready to stamp 'huff' (mouth breathe forcefully) on the stamp before stamping to remoisten the ink
• Use the coordinating Summer Shadows Dies ( Sale-A-Bration item available FREE with a $100 purchase) to cut out the Pale Papaya flower outline and the Evening Evergreen leaves.  Then use it to cut out the stamped flowers
• Use the Evening Evergreen Stampin' Write Marker to color just the word 'hello' on the stamp.  'Huff' then stamp.  I wanted mine to be a little darker than the stamped image, so I carefully went over it with the fine point end of the marker. 
• Glue the layers together, as shown.
• Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the stamped flowers. 
• The Take-Your-Pick Tool makes placing the In Color Jewels effortless.

For the inside, use the dies to cut another flower and glue it to a piece of Basic White CS.  Then, glue the Basic White CS to the inside of the card.
