Stampin' Up! Peaceful Deer Slimline Card

 

Hi!  Today's card is another Christmas Card.  This one is a small slimline, measuring 6-1/4" x 6-1/2".  In addition to the Peaceful Deer Bundle from the Mini Catalog, I used Be Dazzling Specialty Paper and Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-bration Brochure.  I think the Be Dazzling paper looks like a party! Pictures just don't do this paper justice.  I am including a link at the bottom of this post for my YouTube video showing you how to create this card.  In the video, you can see the Be Dazzling paper a little better, but it's still not as good as in person!

MEASUREMENTS

Basic Black Card Base ~ 6-1/4" x 6-1/2", score at 3-1/4"

Peaceful Prints DSP ~ 2-1/2" x 4"

Be Dazzling Specialty Paper ~ 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and 1/4" x 6" (inside)

Real Red Cardstock ~ 1/2" x 3", 3" x 2-1/2"

Basic White Cardstock ~ 1/2" x 3" and 2-3/4" x 6"

• Use the Layering Circles Dies to cut an approximately 2-1/8" circle out of the Be Dazzling paper.  I do NOT recommend using a punch on this paper.  It is thick and glittery and will not be good for your punch.  
• Use the deer punch to cut a deer from Real Red CS.  Glue the antlers on so you don't lose them. ;)
• Stamp 'Merry Christmas' on the 1/2" Basic White CS and 'Sending love & peace this season' on the 3" piece of Basic White CS.  (Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink for both)
• Use Paper Snips to cut one end of the Real Red CS at an angle.  Then, cut the Basic White strip of CS at an angle on both ends. 
• Now it's time to assemble your card!  Use Stampin' Dimensionals (or Mini Stampin' Dimensionals) to attach the deer and 'Merry Christmas'.  Everything else can be glued down as shown, beginning with the Peaceful Prints DSP.  

For the inside of the card, glue the Basic White CS down first, leaving room for the strip of Be Dazzling Specialty Paper.  Then, glue it down as shown.
