The Counting Sheep set and Sheep Dies are too cute! These sheep look like they are ready to celebrate. I love pairing a set like this with a sentiment only set, like Best Year, which is what I used on this card. I love that the Counting Sheep stamps and Sheep Dies are available FREE during Sale-a-bration. (More on this at the bottom of this post, before the Product List)
MEASUREMENTS
Balmy Blue Card Base ~ 8-1/5" x 5-1/5", score at 4-1/4"
You're a Peach Designer Series Paper ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 3" x 4", 2-1/2" x 5-1/4", 4" x 5-1/4"
Scraps of Polished Pink and Balmy Blue for flags
- Use a Blending Brush to apply Balmy Blue ink to the top portion of the 3" piece of Basic White CS. Then, use another Blending Brush (or clean the same one) to apply Old Olive to the bottom part of the CS.
- Use Old Olive ink to stamp the grass randomly over the brushed on Old Olive
- Stamp the sheep on the 2-1/2" piece of Basic White CS, leaving enough room to stamp the sentiment in Balmy Blue.
- Color the sheep using Stampin' Blends.
- Use the dies to cut the sheep out. While your dies are handy, cut out 3 or 4 flags in Polished Pink and Balmy Blue. (I ended up with 3 pink and 1 blue flag)
- Use Paper Snips to cut around the sentiment.
- Wrap the twine (I used Gray Granite twine) around the bottom of the card twice, securing in the back with 2 Glue Dots. Tie a small bow, or even just a knot around the twine.
- Glue the DSP to the front of the Balmy Blue Card base. Glue the end of a pink flag to the sheep's hoof, add a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to the top of the flag.
- Glue the sheep to the blended piece of CS, as shown. Then, use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach this piece to the DSP.
- Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the sentiment to the card front, as shown.
Stamp the sentiment on the 4" piece of Basic White Cardstock. Then, add two or three flags to the corner of the card.
I hope you enjoyed this card!
