Stampin' Up! Counting Sheep - Card from the Catalog

Hello!  Today's card is from the Sale-a-bration brochure, p. 10.  It features the new Counting Sheep stamps and Sheep Dies.  I did make a few changes to the card, beginning with changing the sentiment.  If you would like to see a video tutorial on creating this card, scroll to the bottom of this post where there's a link to my YouTube Video.

MEASUREMENTS
Thick Basic White Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Pattern Party Designer Series Paper ~ 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 4-3/4" 3-1/2", 2-3/4" x 2", 1" x 1"
Shimmery White Cardstock ~ 1-1/2" x 2"
Bermuda Bay Cardstock ~ 3-1/2" x 2"
Daffodil Delight Cardstock ~ 1-3/4" x 1-1/2"

  • Use a Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blend to color the Pattern Party DSP
  • Stamp the Sheep with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the 2-3/4" Basic White Cardstock.  Color as desired.
  • Stamp the hat on the smallest piece of Basic White.  Color as desired.
  • Use the dies to cut out the sheep and hat.  Then, use dies to cut out 'happy' in Bermuda Bay and two Shimmery White CS balloons.  Also, cut out the scalloped background.
  • Use Dark Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight Blends to color the balloons
  • Stamp the birthday stamp using Versamark ink.  Sprinkle with Black Embossing Powder.  After setting with the Heat Tool, use Paper Snips to trim around just the word 'birthday'
  • Stamp the grass using Granny Apple Green.
  • Now it's time to put it all together!  Use Stampin' Dimensionals for the scalloped layer and the sheep.  For everything else, you can use the adhesive of your choice. (I used Liquid Glue)

For the inside, I colored a 1/2" x 4-1/4" strip of the DSP to match the front.  Then, I attached it along the side.  For the card I made on the video, I attached a 1/2" x 5-1/2" strip of colored DSP along the bottom.
