Sweet Ice Cream Birthday Card

 

Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  This card uses a summer favorite, the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set by Stampin' Up!  One of my favorite things about this set is the fonts, I love this combination.  I especially love the 'Happy Birthday' and 'Thank You' stamps from this set, stamped and fussy cut around.  Isn't that pretty!?  

MEASUREMENTS

Polished Pink Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"

2021-2023 In Color DSP ~ 4" x 5-1/4"

Vellum ~ 4" x 2-3/4"

Basic White ~ scraps for popsicles and sentiment

• Stamp the popsicle sticks using Cinnamon Cider.  Don't forget the inside stamp!  
• Stamp the bottom half of the popsicle once with Coastal Cabana, once with Polished Pink and once with Granny Apple Green.
• When stamping the top part of the popsicle, stamp off once before lining it up and stamping over the bottom part. Repeat the same colors as above.
• Fussy cut around the popsicles and the popsicle sticks.  Then attach them together with your favorite adhesive. 
• Place your 'Happy Birthday' stamp on the stamparatus and stamp on Basic White CS with Coastal Cabana ink.  Reink and stamp again to make sure you have full color.  Do not move the stamp or the cardstock while you clean the stamp with a shammy.  Ink the stamp with Versamark and stamp the sentiment again.  Sprinkle clear embossing powder over the Versamark, tap off, then set the powder with the Heat Tool.
• Fussy cut around the sentiment with your Paper Snips.
• Attach the DSP to the Card Base with your favorite adhesive. 
• Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the pink popsicle to the center of the vellum.  Then use your favorite adhesive to attach the other two popsicles, as shown. 
• Apply adhesive to the vellum behind the popsicles, then attach to the DSP on the card front.
• Center the sentiment below the popsicles and attach with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Color a clear Epoxy Essentials droplet with a Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blend.  Then, attach it under the green popsicle.
