Hi! Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing a fun fold card with you, using the Sailing Home stamp set. I made this card for a sweet lady who sent me a t-shirt last week that she decorated herself. I know she likes anchors, so this set immediately came to mind when I thought of making a card for her.
MEASUREMENTS
Flirty Flamingo Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 4-1/4", scored at 5-1/2"
Flirty Flamingo Cardstock ~ 8" x 3", scored at 4"
Night of Navy Cardstock ~ 5-3/8" x 4-1/8", 4-1/2" x 2-7/8", 3-7/8" x 2-7/8"
and a scrap at least 2-1/4" x 3/4"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 2-3/4", 3-3/4" x 2-3/4"
and a scrap at least 1-1/2" x 2"
Pattern Party Designer Series Paper ~ 5-1/4" x 4"
- Stamp the anchors on the largest piece of Basic White CS using Flirty Flamingo ink. Be sure to turn the stamp different directions as you stamp.
- On one of the 3-3/4" pieces of Basic White CS, stamp the lighthouse using Night of Navy ink and the birds with Basic Gray ink.
- On the scrap of Night of Navy CS, stamp 'thanks' with Versamark. Cover it with White Embossing Powder, then tap off the excess powder. Set the embossing powder with the Heat Tool.
- Stamp the anchor on the scrap of Basic White CS using Night of Navy ink.
- Run the stamped lighthouse image through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine in the Tasteful Textile 3d Embossing Folder.
- Use the banner die from Smooth Sailing Dies to cut around 'thanks' and the anchor to cut around the anchor
- Start attaching the layers, beginning with the Night of Navy layers, then the DSP and Basic White with the anchors.
- Next, attach the Flirty Flamingo CS to the Card Base as shown, only adding adhesive to the back of that piece of cardstock.
- Attach the Night of Navy and Basic White with the lighthouse to the front of the card.
- Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the banner with 'thanks'
For the inside of the card, attach the last piece of Basic White CS. Then, add the anchor to the bottom corner, as shown.
