Stampin' Up! Feels Like Home - Sketch Saturday #669

 

Hi!  Welcome to my blog.  Have you seen the sketch challenges over at Sketch Saturday?  This is the most recent sketch, and I really did find it to be a challenge.  Give it a try and be sure to link up to the challenge so we can all see your creativity!  

I chose to use a NEW Stampin' Up! stamp set, Feels Like Home, for this card.  I rarely post projects using products that haven't been released to everyone yet, but couldn't resist this time.  It's just too perfect for this sketch.  

MEASUREMENTS

Thick Basic White Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4"

Basic White Cardstock ~ 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"

Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper ~ 3-3/8" x 2-3/4"

Blushing Bride Cardstock ~ 3-3/4" x 2-7/8"

• Stamp the image on the Fluid 100 paper using Black Staz-On ink.  (Be sure to clean your stamp with the Staz-On cleaner)
• Use Water Painters and Stampin' Pads to color the image. (the colors I used are listed below)
• Use Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the Basic White Cardstock.  
• Attach the Fluid 100 Paper to the Blushing Bride CS.  
• Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach a 3" piece of  Linen Thread to the back of the Blushing Bride CS, then attach the Blushing Bride CS to the front of the Embossed Basic White CS.
• Add a Glue Dot to the center of the Linen Thread and attach it to the front of the Embossed Basic White CS.  (see the top card photo for a visual of what this will look like)
• Use Glue Dots to attach a 5" piece of ribbon to the top of the card, over the Glue Dot.  Tie another short piece of ribbon to the center of that strip of ribbon.  (See photo)
• Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the embossed Basic White CS to the Card Base

For the inside, add a few stamps.  I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp these.
