Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance - Card from the Catalog

Hi!  Welcome to my blog. ;)  The card I'm sharing with you today is one I CASE'd from p. 3 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.  Stampin' Up!'s catalogs are a great source of inspiration!  The photo above is the card I am showing you how to make.  The below photo is the card from the catalog.  As you can see, I have made just a couple of small changes.

MEASUREMENTS
Soft Succulent Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
2021-2023 In Color Designer Series Paper ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Pale Papaya Cardstock ~ 3-4" x 3-1/4"
Basic White Cardstock ~ 5" x 6" and 4" x 5-1/4" and a scrap for 'hello'
Fresh Freesia Cardstock ~ 3-3/4" x 2-1/2"

  • Stamp the butterflies using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White CS.  You can use the largest clear block (F) or the Stamparatus
  • Use the large butterfly die to cut out all the stamped butterflies.
  • Use the largest intricate butterfly die to to cut out a Fresh Freesia butterfly
  • Adhere the DSP to the front of your Card Base with your favorite adhesive (I used Liquid Glue)
  • Adhere 2 of the larger stamped butterflies to the DSP, overlapping the bottom of one with the top of the other, just a little.
  • Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the Pale Papaya cardstock over the center of the card (where the butterflies overlap)
  • Use Glue Dots to attach approx. 4" of ribbon over the Pale Papaya CS
  • Attach the Fresh Freesia butterfly to the ribbon with Glue Dots.
  • Stamp 'hello' using Calypso Coral ink on the scrap of Basic White CS.  Trim around 'hello' with Paper Snips or a Paper Trimmer
  • With Stampin' Dimensionals, attach the 'hello' strip to the center of the Fresh Freesia Butterfly

For the inside of the card, attach the 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White CS.  You can also add a strip of DSP, or the smallest butterfly (or both!).

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Please contact me if you have any questions, for a catalog (if you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and live in the USA), or to Join!  You can also click the link at the top of my blog to sign up for my newsletter.
