Each Monday I like to create a masculine card. I understand that sometimes, for whatever reason (maybe the lack of bling - lol), it can seem a little more challenging to create masculine cards. So, I'm doing what I can to help you out with that!
Since today is also Kylie & Bruno's Training Support Blog Hop, I decided to show you how easy it can be to change a card to have a more masculine vibe!
I started by creating this month's Thank You card for my customers. I used my stamparatus to perfectly line up the sentiments. Ink, stamp, clean, move the stamping plate down a notch, repeat! Easy Peasy.
Stampin' Blends on Basic Rhinestones made it simple to create gems that matched my card colors.
MEASUREMENTS
Poppy Parade Card Base ~8-1/2" x 5-1/2"
DSP ~ 4" x 5-1/4"
Poppy Parade Layer ~ 3" x 4-1/2"
Basic White ~ 3-3/4" x 4-1/4" and 4" x 5-1/4" (inside)
The inside of this card is simply stamped with the dots from the Sweet Ice Cream set. Stamp off once before stamping on the card. (Stamp before attaching to the card)
To give the card a more masculine feel, I changed the color scheme and replaced the rhinestones with Matte Black Dots. I changed the card base color to Basic Black so it tied in nicely with the Matte Black Dots.
The measurements on this card are mostly the same as the original. However, I did alter the top layers just a smidge.
Basic Black top layer ~ 2-3/4" x 4-3/4"
Basic White top layer ~ 2-1/2" x 4-1/2"
For the inside of this card, add a narrow strip (3/8" x 5-1/4") of DSP to the side of the Basic White.
If you place an order this month, you will get one of these cards, or a variation of this layout. I'm having fun playing with the DSP and color schemes on this one. 😀
Happy Stamping!
