Stampin' Up! Chick Pop Up Card

 

Hey!  Why do I like these chick stamp sets so much!?  I don't really know, except they look like they are having a good time!  At least I'm not alone in liking them, I know there are many others out there who love these sets as much as I do!

This is one of those cards that has been in the back of my mind for a while.  It was inspired by a Pop Up Card Lisa Curcio made a few months ago.  You can see Lisa's awesome card here.  

MEASUREMENTS

Misty Moonlight Card Base ~ 4-1/4" x 11-1/2", scored at 5-1/2"

Misty Moonlight pop up piece ~ 4-1/4" x 3-1/2", scored at 3/4", 1-1/2", 2-1/4" and 3"

Pool Party Card Front ~ 4" x 5-1/4"

Basic White inside ~ 4" x 4-1/2"

Plenty of Basic White Scraps for Chickens and sentiments

Magenta Madness for 'Happy' die and bow tie

1.  Stamp all the chickens on Basic White Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink

2. Stamp the sentiments in Magenta Madness ink

3.  Color the chickens.  I used Stampin' Blends (colors listed in Product List at the end of this post)

4.  Use the dies and Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine to cut out chickens, bow tie and 'HAPPY'

Go ahead and run the Pool Party Cardstock through the machine using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder

5.  Fussy cut around 'hey chick' and 'birthday' using Paper Snips

6.  Attach the layers to the front as shown.  Don't forget to add the cute bow tie!

(hey, chick! was attached with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals cut in half)

7. Add the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots to the bottom corner

8.  Fold the 'pop up piece' along scored lines, and attach to the card as shown, with Stampin' Seal+

9.  Attach the chickens to the 'pop up piece'.  The two on the left were attached with Stampin' Seal+, the one eating the cupcake was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

10.  Attach 'Happy' with adhesive of choice (I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue)

11.  Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to attach 'birthday' and the little chick

12.  Attach the Basic White piece and glue the chicken on top of it
