The theme for this Blog Hop is 'Thank You'. I am sharing the card that I will be sending you everyone who places an order the rest of April as part of my 'Thank You for ordering'. I love making, and sending, thank you cards!
I have recently been asked by a couple of people (one was my daughter) to make some mushroom cards using Stampin' Up!'s Snailed It stamp set and Snail Mail Designer Series Paper. I am enjoying this set and DSP more with each card I make! It's very whimsical. :)
MEASUREMENTS
Real Red Card Base ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
Bermuda Bay ~ 5-1/4" x 4"
DSP ~ 5-1/8" x 3-7/8"
Basic White Inside - 5-1/4" x 4"
Real Red Banner (before punching) ~ 1/2" x 2-1/2"
Bermuda Bay Banner (before punching) ~ 5/8" x 2-5/8"
Basic White Banner (before punching) ~ 3/4" x 2-3/4"
Basic White scrap at least 2" x 2-1/4" (for stamping)
Basic Red scrap for inside mushroom die cut (optional)
Stamp the mushrooms and color as shown (or however you like). I used Bermuda Bay, Blushing Bride and Real Red Stampin' Write Markers.
Stamp 'Thank You' in Real Red.
While your ink dries*, attach the top two layers to the Real Red Card Base.
Then, use the Pick a Banner Punch to punch the banners and attach those.
TIP ~ when punching, always turn the punch upside down so you can see exactly where your are punch. This helps to line up images perfectly, or in the case of this Banner Punch, center your cardstock.
*It doesn't take long for the ink to dry, but I always like to give it a minute so I don't accidentally smear it. If you are in a hurry, you can use your Heat Tool to make sure the ink dries quickly.
Die cut the mushrooms, or fussy cut if you don't have the dies. Then attach with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment of your choice on the inside. I also added a (totally optional - 1/8") super thin strip of the Designer Series Paper and a mushroom die cut to the inside.
Thanks for swinging by my blog today! Don't forget to check out the links to the other blogs in this blog hop! There's a clickable product list under the Blog Hop links.
