This card was so much fun to make! It uses all the 2020-2022 In Colors, as well as Basic Gray and Memento Tuxedo Black. The basic sketch is from Challenge #286 at Global Design Project. The card in the sketch looks a bit more square, but I decided to use the standard card measurement of 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (scored at 4-1/4").
I started by stamping the All Wired Up stamp on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White Cardstock using Basic Gray ink.
Then, I stamped the chickens on another piece of Basic White Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black.
While the ink dried, I cleaned my stamps and cut & scored the Misty Moonlight card base.
The Cinnamon Cider DSP from 2020-2022 In Color 6"x6" DSP was cut to 4" x 5-1/4".
The chickens were colored using the 2020-2022 In Color Stampin' Pads and a Blender Pen.
I had a lot of fun coloring these chickens crazy colors!
The chickens were cut out using die cuts, which made the process super quick and easy.
The largest circle from Layering Circles Dies was used to cut a circle in the middle of the All Wired Up stamped layer.
I used the leftover scraps to stamp the sentiments on, then quickly cut around them with Paper Snips.
The DSP layer was attached with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The 'wire' layer was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. However, before attaching this layer, be sure to glue two of the chickens behind it so they can be seen peeking out.
The chicken with the cupcake and the sentiments were attached with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
In fact you can see where I added two Mini Dimensionals to the edge of the 'Birthday' layer so it would stay at the right height. (The other side of the 'Birthday' has only one Dimensional)
For the inside of the card, I added another sentiment and the cute little hatching egg.
I still love both of these sets and was delighted to see that the Hey Birthday Chick and coordinating dies will be carried over to the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog!
