Butterfly Bouquet Blog Hop

A great big Texas HELLO to you!  Thanks for swinging by my blog.

Today's card was made for this blog hop highlighting the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle.  I wanted to try something a little different this time, and ended up not stamping any butterflies.

The first step in making this card was to cut a piece of Basic Black, Basic White and Gorgeous Grape Cardstock to 4" x 5-1/4".
Then, use the largest butterfly die to cut the outline of the butterflies on the piece of Basic Black Cardstock.  Make sure to gather the small pieces that fit around the edge.
(Do you see where I lost one? )
Now, use the detailed butterfly dies to cut out the six butterflies.
(Make sure to add adhesive sheets, if using them, before die cutting.  I keep forgetting I have them)
Once everything is cut, glue the outline to the piece of Gorgeous Grape.  Then, glue the detailed butterflies inside the space for each one.  It's okay that some are hanging over the edge.  Just use Paper Snips (or other scissors) to trim the extra bits.
Once you have the butterflies attached, glue the Gorgeous Grape Cardstock to a Basic Black 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base.

The sentiment is from Simply Succulents stamps set.  This set has some of my favorite sentiments!
You can stamp the 'thanks' in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, die cut it, attach with dimensionals and basically be finished.
OR, you can stamp the 'thanks' in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, sprinkle it with Clear Emboss Powder, set with Heat Tool, and then finish up.

The inside shows off a butterfly die cut from a scrap of Gorgeous Grape.
It also includes another sentiment (my favorite) from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set.
I think I need this saying on a t-shirt!  With a butterfly, of course.

Thanks again for spending a minute of your day visiting my blog.  Don't forget to swing by the other blogs included in this blog hop!  (Links below) I hope you are inspired to create something soon!
Happy Stamping!
