Oh my! Have you seen the newest butterfly collection Stampin' Up! has just released? It is beautiful! Butterflies are one of my favorite things, so it was a given that I was going to be ordering these products. I am so glad I did! This afternoon all I did was create cards with this set...and I know I'm just getting started with it!
This set is a sneak peak into the upcoming 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. The Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set and coordinating Brilliant Wings Dies will be in the new catalog. However, the Natural Touch Specialty Paper and Butterfly Bijou 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper are only available until May 3rd, 2021.
The first card I made came together in minutes. I used the large butterfly die to cut out six butterflies at once on one of the sheets from the Designer Series Paper. Then, I cut another piece of the DSP to a 3-3/4" square. I also used the largest die from Stitched Nested Label Dies to cut a piece of the Natural Touch Specialty Paper. Cutting off the top of that piece made it look like a pocket.
Before I attached all the pieces, I decided to stamp my sentiment on the bottom corner with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I really wanted the black to stand out, so I did sprinkle a little Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder over it while it was still wet. After setting it with my Heat Tool I was ready to attach the layers.
The DSP was attached to the card base with Stampin' Seal. Stampin' Seal was also used to attach the Specialty Paper to the DSP. Of course I wanted the butterfly lifted up a little, so I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach it.
I used a scrap piece of the DSP from the front to decorate the inside of the card a little. This piece is only 1/4". It doesn't take much to add a little something to the inside of the card. I will probably use a piece of this DSP to decorate flap of the envelope, too.
I hope you like today's card and are inspired to create something lovely soon!
Happy Stamping! 😀
