Stampin' Up! Ice Cream Corner Suite Birthday Card

I feel like I need to apologize for my lack of photography skill right off the bat.  The colors on this card are so pretty in person!  I feel like these pictures just don't do it justice.  

I made this card for a dear friend who has a birthday just a couple of days before mine.  We both love these bright colors, so starting with the Designer Series Paper in the Ice Cream Corner Suite was a given.  Then, I found this Mojo Monday sketch challenge by Poetic Artistry and I knew just what to do!  

To get the Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles to stick to the ice cream on the cone, I took advantage of my Silicone Craft Sheet.  First, I placed several small dots of Fine Tip Glue (I have also used Multipurpose Liquid Glue) on the Silicone Craft Sheet.  Then, I added a small sprinkle to each dot of glue and waited a few moments while I punched out the stamped images.  Then, using the putty end of Stampin' Up!'s Take Your Pick tool, I gently pushed each confetti dot off the Silicone Craft Sheet and placed them, one by one, on the ice cream.  

I would have used the beautiful Blackberry Bliss ribbon from the Ice Cream Corner Suite, but for some reason haven't ordered it yet.  So, instead I decided to use the Purple Posy Ribbon from Stampin' Up!'s Playing with Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack.  I think it ties in nicely with this suite of products.  

I neglected to take a picture, but I also decorated the envelope flap with Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper.  I think decorated envelopes are more fun than plain envelopes, and create excitement to see what's inside!
