Stampin' Up! Flowers for Every Season DSP Christmas Card

 I am so excited to share this Christmas card with you!  Partly because it's so pretty, easy and doesn't use a ton of supplies.  But mostly because I get to share a couple of my favorite tips with you that I used in this creating this card.  

Tip #1, when in a hurry to make a card, grab a card from one of Stampin' Up's Memories and More card packs.  For this card, I used one of the 3"x4" cards from the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More Card Pack.  (There are 50 cards in this pack - 2 each of 25 designs, and 4 sticker sheets - 2 each of 2 designs)  But don't worry if you don't have this card pack, and want to make a similar card.  You can also trim down one of the sheets fromm the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper to 3"x4".  

For the background layer on this card, I used a sheet from the Designer Series Paper.  You could skip this step, if you are in a hurry, or just don't have the DSP.  One of the patterns from the 2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper would also work great as a background here.  

Tip #2, color your white or vanilla ribbon with a blender pen.  This gives you so many options for colored ribbon!  In this case, I colored the Vanilla Metallic Edge Ribbon with the dark Poppy Parade Blender Pen to match the flower color.  Give the ink a few minutes to dry.  I like to color my ribbon, then start working on the rest of my card. By the time I get to the point I need to add the ribbon, the ink is nice and dry. 

The flower embellishment was made by fussy cutting the flower out of one of the Flowers for Every Season DSP sheets.  Once cut out, I attached them using Stampin' Dimensionals.  

Here is another quick card I made using a card from the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More pack.  I actually made this card first, and it gave me the idea for the Christmas Card version.

Stampin' Up! Gnome for the Holidays

Oh my goodness.  I am so excited to show you this card and the stamps set that I used to make it!  I think gnomes are something people either love or hate.  My kids think they're creepy, I think they are adorable!  What do you think?  

Here's the full set 

I started making this card by stamping the treehouse image with black StazOn ink.  Then I colored it using Stampin' Up!'s marvelous markers.  Of course, I rarely color without using a blender pen, and this time was no different.  For the actual tree, I colored using my trusty blender pen and Early Espresso.  Usually I just squeeze the ink pad before opening to get a little ink on the lid, but this time I used a drop of the ink refill. 

After coloring my images (I also colored in the little gnome lady with markers), I used the 2nd to largest circle in the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut out the treehouse.  After cutting it out, I used my Paper Snips to trim along the stitched edge to made the circle just a little smaller. 

I used a 2" circle punch and that same circle die to make the Garden Green circle frame surrounding the treehouse.  To cut out the little gnome lady, I used Stampin' Up!'s Paper Snips again. 

The strips of DSP are from 'Tis the Season Designer Series Paper.  They are cut to 

1/2" x 5 1/2"

1/4" x 4 1/4"  (*2)

1/4" x 3 1/2"

Once I had all my pieces colored and cut, it was a snap to put it all together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin' Dimensionals.

The card I am sharing with you today is the thank you card I have created to send to all of my customers who place an order this month. I love sending thank you cards and this one is darling!

I started this card with the flower, and added everything else later.  The flower is heat embossed with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder, over Magenta Madness ink.  

Using the Stamparatus makes this technique a breeze!  Just place your cardstock on the stamping surface of the Stamparatus and secure it with the magnets.  Then, place the stamp where you want it on the cardstock and press the clear cover on the stamp to pick it up.  Ink the stamp with Versamark and stamp, then gently clean off the stamp with a slightly damp Simple Shammy (without removing it from the Stamparatus).  Now, reink the stamp with a color.  Now you are ready to add your Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat it up with the Stampin' Up! Heat Tool. 

To create the other layers, I used the Tasteful Labels Dies, the Tasteful Textile 3D folder, and In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. A few Pearl Basic Jewels gave this card the perfect finishing touch. 

Aren't these layers gorgeous!?  I tried to get the full effect of the embossing in this picture.  However, I am no great photographer.  I have been using the same container of Clear Emboss Powder for YEARS...over time it has gotten a bit of Stampin' Glitter mixed in with it, which adds a fun sparkle to all my embossing.
